Miami students Alex Libengood, Eric Six, John Simenic, Sylvia Piszczor, and Lauren Wetula were awarded Honorable Mention for their entry "The Greenest Brick" in the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) Green Community Competition. The project was completed as part of an upper-level studio centered in Over-the-Rhine, and led by faculty Tom Dutton, Scott Johnston, and John Blake.

The competition drew 260 entries from 15 different countries, and required students to reimagine a specific site in their communities, considering issues such as "reuse, remediation, conservation, sanitation, and water management, among other elements in contemporary sustainable planning."
