Visiting artists, lecturers, and educators come to Miami as a part of our Visiting Artists and Guest Lecture Series as well as for guest exhibitions and residencies. You will be able to see and hear well-known contemporary artists. While we feel confident that your education is enhanced by our guests, we also believe our whole community is challenged by their visits. As experts in the field bring critical ideas and work to us, that direct contact inspires us all. Guest lectures, exhibitions, and artists-in-residence have included: Alberto Alessi, Vratislav Novak, Lisa Gralnick, Judy Dater, Clement Greenberg, Faith Ringgold, Tony Mendoza, Hollis Sigler, Lucy Lippard, Donald Kuspit, Sue Coe, Mel Chin, Nina Borgia-Aberle, Seymour Howard, Ellen Phelan, Judy Seigal, Robert Storr, Joe Ablow, Raymond Saunders, C.F. Payne, Elliot Eisner, TODT, Philip Guston, Jerry Uelsmann, and Barbara DeGenevieve.

There are student associations in each of the four program areas. These groups enhance our sense of community and focus on specific disciplinary needs and interests.
