Designers to Work with Industry Leaders
During the spring semester Miami's graphic design students will have the opportunity to work with three different industry leaders. Interbrand, a global branding firm, will work with students to reconceptualize the P&G Eukanuba dog and cat food brands. This will include new logo ideas, packaging, and in-store concepts.
In addition, LPK Design, another premier branding firm, will run a workshop on trending in preparation for designing new patterns for P&G's Bounty paper towel brand. The students will create new color and pattern palettes as proposals for 2011.
Lastly, a selected group of design and writing students, working through the Miami Design Collaborative, will participate in a greeting card concept workshop with American Greetings. A team of creative directors and writers will work with the students on campus, followed up by a 1 1/2 day workshop at American Greetings' Cleveland headquarters.
These real-world experiences, including both actual problems and close collaboration and interactive with design professionals, will enhance and expand the learning of the design students.
