The second edition of last year's hugely popular show!

The Miami University Opera Program, produced by Mari Opatz-Muni, trains the undergraduate and graduate singer in opera by offering an annual, fully staged production as well as opera scenes utilizing professional directors and designers in the operatic field. The goal of the program is to offer the student an operatic experience that is close to what they might expect in the professional world but within a safe, educational environment.

We strive for the highest artistic standards in all areas while helping to build the necessary skills to succeed in the music profession. The vocalists are prepared by an opera coach and then by the conductor of the Miami University Orchestra. All fully staged productions perform with the student orchestra.

Opera auditions are held the semester prior to the production. Any student in the university may audition for roles and/or chorus.
