The Miami University Center for Community Engagement's Over-the-Rhine DesignBuild Studio began in 1996. Three modes of engagement are the focus of the Studio :

- redesign and renovation of historic buildings in the neighborhood
-schematic design for specific Over-the-Rhine Community Housing projects and other non-profit city development corporations
-general Community Design Initiatives
