Community Views
						In the Spring semester of 2002, the students of the Over-the-Rhine DesignBuild Studio contributed design services to an application for Affordable Housing Tax Credit Financing by the Over-the-Rhine Housing Network, now Over-the-Rhine Community Housing, for the development of fifteen new units in six existing buildings. Working in teams, students measured one building to document its as-built conditions and proposed design solutions for three units. The Housing Network was successful in securing state financing for the development, due in part to the efforts of the students. Professional architects then took the design schematics proposed by the students and translated them into construction documents. The development was completed in 2005 and has maintained a high occupancy.
